Parametric Furniture Design
For our next project I've gravitated towards looking at naturally occurring shapes in nature. I think this is a good use of digital design as machines can handle the precise calculations. It's also an opportunity to test materials such as paper which I believe is highly versatile if it's durability is catered to. Some components I've considered are feather barbules, milk cartons, Origami, and chains. just different ways to make planes and extrusions with their own properties. Honestly I'm struggling to come up with a suitable design for my project but I believe I have some solid groundwork.
